JILL
SHELY’s credits include the Second City National Touring
Company, The Factory and ComedySportz in Chicago, and Dixon Place,
The Red Room and P.S. 122 in New York. Jill's newest production,
which
she is most proud of, is her son Shane. With this baby came the
idea for another baby: Moms Cracking Up, a comedy series for moms and
babies which has been featured in New York Magazine’s 2005 Best Of
Issue, NY1, NewsChannel 4 and The New York Post. She is
co-producer and director of Comedysportz New York. |
LYNN MARIE
HULSMAN
has been seen in NYC and regionally in such plays as Love of the Nightingale, Wanda's Visit and My Soul is Mine. She once
worked a season at The Williamstown Theatre Festival as a guppy in a
pond of stars. She is a co-founder of the all-girl
sketch group, Hits Like A Girl,
which has performed at
the Big Stinkin' Comedy Festival, Caroline's Comedy and the Red
Room. Her standup has been
seen at Rose's Turn, the Poole Party, Mom's Cracking Up and elsewhere.
Lynn Marie
holds a B.A. in theater and
attended The Neighborhood Playhouse. She
is co-producer of Comedysportz New York. |
GREG TRIGGS has worked with some of the best
sketch comedy and improv troupes in the country including the Brave New
Workshop in Minneapolis, and the Comedy Warehouse on Disney's Pleasure
Island. As a director he has worked on many projects including the
opening of Disney's Animal Kingdom, the Tribeca Film Festival and the
2000 Super Bowl Half Time Show featuring Phil Collins, Toni Braxton and
Christina Aguilera. He has taught improv for the American Council
of Mayors, Microsoft and the Navy. Television credits include shows on
the BBC, ABC, TLC and Nickelodeon. His column, "METRO DIARY" appears in
every issue of METRO SOURCE
MAGAZINE. Greg's first novel "The Happiest
Place on Earth" will be handed into the publisher by the end of the
summer. Whether the publisher cares remains to be seen.

GLENN
PACKMAN has been associated with ComedySportz troupes across
the US since 1986. His other stage credits include Francis in Forever Plaid, Huey in Italian-American Reconciliation,
Thumper in The Montgomery Variance
and Eddie in Blood Brothers.
He wrote The Great American Breakdown
which was produced in New York, LA and
various regional theatres. He's also done a few commercials and a
really bad made-for-PBS film that he refuses to identify. Part of
the B&T crowd, Glenn commutes in from Connecticut to do this
stuff. (It's not that far. Really!) |
DAN
FLEMING started performing in 1988 with ComedySportz in
Milwaukee and continued performing with CSz in Madison. He then
moved to New York and began performing with ComedySportz New
York while studing acting at the William Esper
Acting Studio. He continued to act and improvise which led to the
formation of the sketch comedy group, The Bert Fershners, which
performed at the Aspen Comedy Festival. There, they were
discovered by Comedy Central which produced The Bert Fershner's First TV Special.
Dan has created and
performed many funny things for MTV and with the sketch group,
The Tenth Floor. He can currently be seen doing stand up in various
venues as well as in a Rogaine commercial
as the brother who should have started earlier.

SAMUEL
COHEN has spent the last 20 years living and working in New
York City where he has been seen On and Off Broadway as well as
regionally. He has worked both as an actor and director in everything
from Shakespeare to improvisational theatre. In addition to
watching Sam improvise brand new musicals weekly as one of the creators
of The Next Big Broadway Musical,
New York audiences have seen him at
the Melting Pot Theatre as “Johnny” in The Portable Pioneer & Prairie
Show, and as “Jud” in Cotton
Patch
Gospel. He also appeared as “Yussle” in Yiddle with a Fiddle at the
American Jewish Theatre. He has studied at Carnegie Mellon
University and Penn
State University, from which he graduated Summa Cum Laude. |
RORY
SCHOLL started his comedy career in Dallas Texas just like so
many other... um.. famous... umm....moving on. After success as a
touring stand up and improv comic, Rory became the official mascot for
American Airlines, Spokeseat 12A. He was a chair. For two
years. Saving over two hundred dollars, he moved to New York in
February of 2004, and has had scenes and songs on the Howard Stern Show
and played at clubs including Gotham Comedy Club, Stand Up NY and the
Improv. He also plays guitars and likes to eat almonds to lower
his cholesterol.

ROBERT Z. GRANT is an actor, improviser, singer
and dancer with various New York and Regional credits in theatre, film
and TV, including: The Next
Big Broadway Musical and Spontaneous
Broadway, two completely improvised musical comedies; plus
appearances
on VH1, at Carolines on Broadway, Chicago City Limits, and the NY
IMPROV. Robert is also a founding member and artistic director of
Codependent Theater Co., hailed as "one of the Top 3 Best Improv Groups
in New York". Robert is probably best known for

MICHAEL
ROCK's performing credits include Mummenschanz
on Broadway; 10 years with TheatreSports,
Spontaneous Broadway
and other improvisation formats as well as many regional, stock and
touring productions. As a director, Michael has created musicals
for UPenn's Mask & Wig Club, clown shows for
HersheyPark, children's theater for Slim Goodbody, sketch comedy for
The Second City and others. He has taught improvisation for
Ringling Bros. Clown College and
currently teaches acting and improvisation for The Second City Training
Center, Marymount Manhattan College and NYU. He is a corporate trainer
for Performance
of a
Lifetime. He recently wrote a play, Musical Chairs, which was presented
at the NY International Fringe Festival, the Pantheon

TAMMY
MUNRO may
be new to the New York scene, but is no stranger to performing. Since
age nine, west coast audiences have been entertained by her dancing,
singing, and acting in various stage, restaurant and cabaret
venues. Recently, Tammy appeared in NYC as Lady Seraphina,
Cinderella’s dearest friend in Cinderella’s
Princess Court on 5th Ave. Comedysportz marks Tammy’s
first venture into improv comedy, and thanks everyone for the
opportunity to work as a cheerleader under the guidance of such a great
cast of performers and directors. |
CAPRICE ROYAL studied at the Studio Theater in Washington,
DC and as a company member of
CherryRed Productions. She left a sold-out run of Cannibal Cheerleaders
on Crack to come to New York five years ago. Since then she has
been doing
sketch and improv with such groups as Hits Like A Girl, The Orphans and
The Skirts and has been seen doing stand-up at Gotham Comedy Club and
the Poole Party. She has also worked in the Off-Off Broadway
productions Flats Fixed, As You LIke It, and A Midwinter’s Tale. You
can see her in regional commericals, including a German Viagra
Commercial. When not involved in theatre and comedy, she is a therapist
and life coach as well as a connoisuer of
french fries and cupcakes. |
DAN DIGGLES was a
founding
member of TheatreSports NY. He has worked with Regional Theatre
companies
across the country, including the Hartford Stage, Shakespeare &
Co. and GEVA Theatre in such diverse roles as Sydney Bruhl in DeathTrap, Marlowe in She Stoops to Conquer, Charley in Where's
Charley?, and Jane/Lord Edgar in The Mystery of Irma Vep directed by
Everett Quinton. He toured the country with John Cullum in Cyrano,
appeared in The Rainmaker
directed by Paul Sorvino, and played two roles in the New York revival
of Ring Round the Moon.
Dan has taught Improvisation at Columbia
University, Marymount Manhattan College and the Dalton School among
others. His book Improv for Actors
was published last year by Allworth
Press.

TODD COWDERY recently relocated to NYC from the
Pacific Northwest for the natural beauty and clean air. As an
improviser he has trained with Keith Johnstone, Vancouver TheatreSports
and Bay Area TheatreSports. He has performed with a variety of improv
groups in the San Juan Islands, Seattle, San Francisco, Vancouver and
Australia’s Melbourne Comedy Festival. He has also served as a
corporate trainer and facilitator with some really impressive
organizations including some Fortune 500’s that you might never have
thought to be using improvisational theatre techniques to develop and
inspire their executives. Book
learning includes an MD and a Masters in Public Health (MPH) from
the University of North Carolina and a 2 year degree from The American
Academy of Dramatic Arts. |
STEPHANIE
KORNICK, originally from Chicago, is excited to be performing
with ComedySportz New York. She's studied improv with Chicago
City Limits, Second City and The Upright Citizens Brigade. Her
recent productions include the role of the Stepmother in Sign of the
Times deaf production of Cinderella.
Stephanie is also the choreographer for the ComedySportz "Funk Squad"

KIMBERLY WEEKS comes
to New York by way of Chicago where she studied improvisation at the
renowned ImprovOlympic and Second City theaters, appearing there in Mr.
Nice Guy (IO Harold Team), The Missfits (Playground Theater) and Lunch
Club (Independent) among others. Kimberly is the writer/director
of the critically acclaimed office comedy musical Cream of the
Corp. Since moving to New York, Kimberly has trained at the
Upright Citizens Brigade, The People's Improv Theater and the Magnet

DOUG
NERVIK was a member of NYC's renowned First Amendment Comedy
Troupe which played The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and for five years
he was musical director of the Chicago City Limits National Touring
Company. He has taught improvisation workshops for many Fortune 500
companies, and has written and acted in character/sketch
comedy for countless corporate shows for 10 years. He entertains around
New York as pianist/singer; if you love the songs of Dave
Frishberg and Randy Newman, hire Doug immediately. He's pleased to be
playing the Yamaha 'DJ model' keyboard for ComedySportz! |
ANDY
REDEKER has a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from Indiana
University. He has worked for The Walt Disney Co in Orlando
Florida as a performer and recording artist. Since moving to New
York in 1994, he has appeared in the national tours of "Titanic", "Big"
and "Les Miserable" where he had the role of Marius. He has
also been a recording artist for Warner Brothers Music.
Before joining Comedy Sportz, he released an album of inspirational
music with his group PASSAGE, a vocal trio. He is also a memeber
of SHIMPROV - a gay and lesbian improv group in New York.

ANN
SCOBIE has a Bachelor's in Psychology and a Master's in Social
Work, which have laid a very solid bedrock for understanding the
craziness that is involved in improvisational comedy. She
performs voiceovers for TV and Radio for such clients as BMW, Dove,
McDonald's,
Verizon, Pizza Hut, Kohl's and lots more. For the
past 2 years she has enjoyed taking classes with the incredible improv
teacher Christine Turner. She performs stand-up comedy at Don't
Tell Mama, The Duplex and other venues. She loves animals, long
walks on the beach and AC/DC.

ALICIA BARNATCHEZ is very excited to be
performing with ComedySportzNY! She recently relocated from
Boston where she performed Improv with ImprovBoston, The Tribe, and
Comedy Theatre Productions as well as performing at many other various
theatre's in and around Boston and working in Industrials, Training
Films and Regional Commercials. She received her B.A. in Theatre from
the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and has worked as a Teaching
Artist. She is currently pursuing her Master's Degree at NYU for
Educational Theatre.

REBECCA STUARD is revved and ready to
compete in ComedySportz! She comes equipped with a background in
musical theater with credits including Cabaret(Helga) Sam Mendes, Rob
Marshall, directors; Forum with Rip Taylor (Gymnasia) and Chicago
(Velma Kelly). She was an original cast member of Melodious Din,
an all improvised musical company and she also is a co-founding member
and co-producer of CoDependent Theater Company.

ZACHARY GILMAN is a native Philadelphian who came
to New York for college and never left. Some don't find that
impressive being that he finished just a year ago, but he admires his
own persistence. Armed with a BA in Romance Languages, he was
named Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude upon graduating NYU. He
has been seen off-Broadway in Café a Go Go, on MTV as a panelist
on MTV Hits and Beat Seekers, doing improv comedy at Caroline's, and
performing in regional work at the Walnut and the Arden. Last
year he starred in Untitled Still Life, an independent short adapted
from a feature-length screenplay that he wrote, funded by Stonestreet
Studios. In his spare time, he works at a consulting firm.

ERIN LEIGH SCHMOYER, a native of Mountaintop, PA,
studied improv with Christine Farrell (while getting her B.A. at Sarah
Lawrence College) and Mick Barnfather of Theatre Complicite, in
London. Since moving to NY in 2004, Erin Leigh has been working
as an actor at such theatres as Theatre for the New City, The Milagro,
The Producers' Club, Theatre Studio, Inc. and The Kraine. She is
currently working on a new musical called "1918: A House Divided", to
premiere at TNC in Spring 2007. She also spends a lot of time
laughing.

LEE ALAN BARRETT, originally
from upstate NY, earned a BA in Theatre from SUNY Cortland as well as
completing a
two-year program at the American Musical and Dramatic
Academy. Afterwards, Lee Alan started preforming in and
around NYC as an actor, improvisor and magician and hasn't stopped
(except for red lights, which by law you have to). Some of the
theatrical productions he has appered in include Line, 42nd Street, and Tartuff. As an improvisor, he
has studied at Chicago City Limits, Upright Citizens Brigade, and has
worked with Improv Central and The Jekyll and
Hyde Club. Lee has also taken his comedy/magic act to such venues
as Mo Pitkens House of Satisfaction, The Happy Hour Salon, Rogue's
Magic and Comedy Show, and The No-Name Variety Hour.

ISSER GALLOGLY has
been performing improv comedy in New York for almost a decade. He
has performed at improv theatres such as Chicago City Limits, The
People's Improv Theatre, Upright Citizens Brigade, The Magnet and
others. Isser has been part of many an improv troupe, including;
The Store, Major 7th, Filthy Wilma, Ka-Baam, Johnathan Maximus
Rockenstern Presents, Melodious Din, Cliche Theater. He has been
seen on ABC's Today Show 24 Hour Comedy Marathon and has performed at
the Del Close Improv marathon. Isser is thrilled to join the
Comedy Sportz team and believes in playing smart, playing clean but
most of all, playing for fun!
